About Me
Hey y’all! My name is April. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia (#chopon) but I grew up in a little town called Wilson, North Carolina where everyone knows your name (or at least knows your parents). I spent my college years at Southeastern in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where the Lord took the calling for missions He placed in my life, changed my plans by A LOT (Proverbs 16:9 is my life verse, BTW), challenged my opinions about the world (or the little of the world that I had seen up to that point), and transformed my heart for the people around me.
If I could wrap up my experiences in a nutshell, it is that Jesus’s heart is for people and He wants His people to meet the people right where they’re at. Sometimes that means going to the other side of the world (which I *love* doing…more to come on where I believe God is sending me next), while other times that means going to the other side of the coffee shop to sit at the laptop table by a stranger (any other introverts in this place?) or actually talking to the clerk in the Kroger checkout line (they’re actually super AWESOME people, y’all). I guess you could say I’ve learned to be faithful to where the Faithful One has called me to GO, because He has all called us to GO in some way and another (Matthew 28:18).
I do hope you enjoy reading about the adventures God takes me on, but ultimately my hope is that you will see Him in it all and that He will be glorified! So…let’s go on an adventure!
